Throwback Friday: EPMD Posted-Up, Rocking Gold Chains & A Bucket Hat
EPMD is an old skool Hip-Hop duo from Long Island, New York. The two group members are Erick Sermoin and Parrish Smith. “E” and “PMD” is an acronym for “Erick and Parrish Making Dollars” (later “Erick and Parrish Millennium Ducats”). In 1988, EPMD released their first studio album, entitled Strictly Business. The LP featured the underground hit “Strictly Business,” which featured a sample of Eric Clapton’s version of Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff.” In March 2011, EPMD performed at the Lawyer4Musicians Hip-Hop showcase at Venue 222 in Austin, Texas. The duo are rumored to be working on another album, entitled There’s No Business Like Showbusiness, which is rumored to hit shelves in 2012.
