This past Monday (August 29), platinum-selling rapper Lil Wayne released his highly anticipated LP Tha Carter IV via iTunes. The disc arrived to retails a day later Tuesday (August 30). The standard edition has a total of 15 tracks including the lead single “6 Foot 7 Foot” Ft. Cory Gunz, “John” Ft. Rick Ross, “How to Love,” and “She Will” Ft. Drake. The deluxe edition contains three additional songs. The disc has other collaborations from T-Pain, Bun B, Nas, Shyne, and Busta Rhymes.

Earlier in the week, I reported that Tha Carter IV is projected to sell 700-850k in the first week. Today, I have a new update and Weezy is close to bringing in a million copies in the first week. HitsDailyDouble.com reports, “Weezy has his sights set on 1m as his Cash Money/Universal Republic Tha Carter IV shows no signs of slowing down.” Weezy is looking at 922-975k, with the Labor Day holiday approaching, Weezy can sell up to 1 million in the opening week.
