Last night Monday (July 25), I attended Atlanta’s rapper Young Jeezy 6th year anniversary concert for his debut album Thug Motivation 101 at the Highline Ballroom in NYC.  The show was wall-to-wall jammed packed. New York City and Dirty Jerz was in the building reppin hard for their hoods. Hot 97‘s DJ Funk Flex hosted the event and was on the 1’s and 2’s. The crowd went crazy when he played Jay-Z and Kanye West’s new track “Otis.” Jeezy performed with a live band.

Jeezy started his set with a standing ovation from his band. From there he performed songs off his first album Thug Motivation 101 such as “I Luv It,” “Thug Motivation,” “Trapstar,” and “Go Crazy.”

Bun B, Fabolous and The Lox all took the stage to perform as Jeezy’s special guests. Bun B and Jeezy performed their classic “Trap Or Die.” The biggest surprise of the evening was when Jeezy brought out Jay-Z to perform “Go Crazy (Remix)” and Kanye West to perform “Put On.” Before closing out the show, Jeezy announced that his new album Thug Motivation 103 will be out September 20.
