Eminem Covers XXL March Issue, Plus Signs Slaughterhouse & Yelawolf to Shady Records
After months of rumors and speculations, the deal is now finalized. Eminem recently signed Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf to Shady Records. Below are some excerpts from the cover story which features, Em, Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.
Eminem: âYelawolf and Slaughterhouse, itâs kinda phase two of Shady. Itâs the new generation of Shady Records and as weâre trying to rebuild our label, itâs exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybodyâs capable of on the mic, itâs gonna be fun.â
Royce Da 5âČ9âł: âItâs very exciting for me to reunite with Eminem years after our Bad Meets Evil project together. Slaughterhouse on Shady Records will be a force to reckon with.â
Yelawolf: âConsidering where Iâm from and the shit Iâve been through, itâs hard to put into words what partnering with Shady means to me, my team at Ghet-O-Vision, and my state of Alabama. I can tell you that when youâre willing to give your life up to see a dream through, the reward is great. And now that Iâve become an apprentice to one of the greatest artists in the world, my potential reaches beyond anything I ever imagined. Letâs kill this shit.â
XXLâs March 2010 issue hits newstands nationwide on February 8.
