Jennifer Lopez Is Launching A Beauty Line
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Jennifer Lopez continues to expand her forever growing empire. Last spring 2020, D.M. Fashion Book reported that she announced her foray into footwear designer via a collaboration with Camuto Group (see it here).
On Monday, it was announced that the international pop star, actress, dancer, producer, beauty mogul and fashion designer is adding a new beauty brand to her portfolio.
J. Lo revealed she’s launching her new brand, JLo Beauty, in an Instagram post, where she posted a selfie captioned with “Sunset glow… #JLoBeauty coming soon.”
Lopez filed a trademark request for the brand on December 24, 2019 for makeup and skin-care products, including “skin moisturizers, skin cleansers, beauty masks, non-medicated skin serums and face and body creams,” according to documents filed at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
At the time of this post, no additional details were revealed. Lopez has a long history of working in the beauty industry. She reentered the beauty business with the launch of a limited-edition makeup line, with Inglot Cosmetics, called Jennifer Lopez Inglot in 2018 (see it here).
The multi-platinum recording artist is a proven powerhouse in the beauty industry, having launched 24 fragrances and generating close to $2 billion in sales over the course of two decades. Her blockbuster 2002 fragrance launch, Glow by J.Lo, is credited with triggering the revival of the celebrity fragrance category and was a strong seller for years, generating some $100 million in sales in 2005. Coty Inc., which launched Glow by J.Lo, divested Lopez’s fragrance license to Designer Parfums.
