Nicola Formichetti, Diesel‘s artistic director is leaving the iconic lifestyle brand at the end of this year (within the next week or so). The designer made the announcement via his Instagram account.

The Italian-Japanese designer did not mention what his next move would be, and Diesel has not made an official announcement or successor.

Prior to joining Diesel, Formichetti was artistic director of Mugler from 2010 to 2013. He has also worked on numerous magazines, including V, and has been a stylist and frequent collaborator with pop icon Lady Gaga.

Diesel‘s owner OTB Group is making changes to its management team in order to ensure its future strategic development. It has already announced that Ubaldo Minelli will join the company as the new chief executive officer of OTB in January and that more developments are expected.
