British luxury house Burberry will relocate 300 jobs in finance, HR, customer service, and procurement from London to Leeds. The move is part of an effort to cut costs – it will allegedly save the £100 million (about $129 million) by 2019 — and to bolster Burberry‘s ties to Yorkshire, birthplace of the iconic trench coat.

The brand’s chief creative and chief executive officer, Christopher Bailey said: “This is an important move for Burberry as we continue to deliver on the strategic priorities we outlined last year.”

The Leeds-based offices will open in October.
