DKNY Cancels Runway Show, Will Have Showroom Appointments
Sadder news for DKNY!
In its latest news, the iconic American brand’s forthcoming Fall 2017 Runway Show, which was slated for Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. has been cancelled. The company chose to hold showroom appointments instead.
According to the Council of Fashion Designers of America, that time slot hasn’t been filled, but Derek Lam plans to start his presentation a half hour earlier, at 2:30 p.m
The disappointing news comes just a month after we reported that Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow & Maxwell Osborne stepped after one year and eight months as co-creative directors of DKNY, along with Caroline Brown, the CEO of Donna Karan International. (see it here).
Last summer, we also reported that LVMH agreed to sell Donna Karan International to G-III Apparel Group Ltd. for an enterprise value of $650 million (see it here).
