Rapper Yo Gotti has just signed to Jay Z‘s Roc Nation. Today, Thursday (December 15), the Memphis-native made the official announcement via a video (below) and his Instagram.

The newly formed partnership is between Roc Nation and Collective Music Group, formerly known as Cocaine Muzik Group. Gotti is still signed to Epic Records, so he still has L.A. Reid in his corner.

Jay Z‘s childhood friend / business partner, Emory Jones orchestrated the deal.

Jay always been one of my favorite rappers,” said Gotti. “When he told me he was watching what I was doing, I thought that was some cool shit. I was like, I respect your hustle, I respect what you’re doing. I’m a hustler and I think we got the same vision when it comes to diversifying hustlers. The way I see it, it’s just expansion.”

Gotti also just released his new track, “Castro” featuring Kanye West, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, and Quavo. The track will appear on his forthcoming LP, White Christmas, due December 23. Listen to the track on the next page.
