Every holiday, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) does a collaboration with a luxury fashion house. Last year it Olivier Rousteing‘s House of Balmain. Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace and Stella McCartney have all collaborated with H&M in the past.
This past May, donbleek.com reported that the Swedish retailer announced a holiday collaboration with French luxury house Kenzo (see it here).
Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Kenzo’s creative directors, said they want to think big with the collaboration, “push the boundaries and bring the new energy of Kenzo to everyone around the world.
The capsule collection will hit select H&M stores and go online November 3. But H&M has shared three looks from its upcoming Kenzo collaboration. The pieces shown are very colorful with tiger stripes.
“Lots of customers only know the side of Kenzo we worked on,” said Leon. “But we’re celebrating the brand’s 50th anniversary. We’ve kept Kenzo Takada close to our hearts; he comes to all our shows. We want to do something that makes him feel proud.”
“This is just the beginning,” said Leon of the lookbook stars. “We really put our heart and soul into how it will look. We just love what they do.”
