Congrats are in order! Professional basketball player Kelly Paul Oubre Jr. is now a part of the adidas Hoops family. He inked a deal with the German-based footwear, apparel and sports giant. The news was just announced via Instagram. Last month, Justise Winslow of the Miami Heat also inked a deal with adidas Hoops (see it here).

The former University of Kansas basketball player (Kelly Paul Oubre Jr.) was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the 15th overall pick at the 2015 NBA Draft which took place last June at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York.

His draft rights were then traded to the Washington Wizards in exchange for the draft rights to the 19th pick, Jerian Grant, and two second round draft picks.

Oubre was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Richmond, Texas after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He attended George Bush High School in Fort Bend, Texas before transferring to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada for his senior season.

In October 2013 Oubre committed to the University of Kansas to play college basketball. During his freshman season with the Jayhawks, Oubre was named newcomer of the week twice by the Big 12 Conference.

During the 2014–15 season, Oubre averaged 20.9 minutes, 9.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
